D&D, or Dungeons and Dragons is a table top role playing game set in a variety of magical realms. In a Mom’s Basement game of D&D, we encourage laughter, getting off of your screens and making life-long friends!

Adventurers’ League, or AL, is the gaming system that we have modeled our Mom’s Basement sessions after.

Here is some additional information about Adventurers League!

You’ll need to RVSP for an in-person game using one of our pre-generated characters. Even if you are a seasoned player, we ask that all first timers at our tables play with one of our characters so they can focus on connection and learn some of the mechanics of game play without getting bogged down with intricate rules or heavy spell casting.

After your first session, you are welcome to create the character of your dreams and we will even help you do so!

D&D Beyond is the platform and marketplace where character sheets are built. You don’t have to create an account with D&D Beyond if you prefer to manually fill out and math up a character sheet.

If you prefer to use this tool (D&D Beyond) it helps take some of the guess work out of building a character and gives new players some ease in adding in all the math stuff.

This is not required to play in any of our games, however we offer content sharing, so you don’t have to buy any source material and it allows us the ability to stock your character’s pockets with loot, magical items and potions!

Assuming you’ve played one in-person session with us, you can now recreate the character you played or build out an entirely new character.
